Our Partners

Hampton Manor

Hampton Manor is home to award winning restaurants Smoke and Grace & Savour as well as an onsite bakery. The food served is inspired and supplied by their Victorian walled garden.

The relationships they build allow them to gather the best produce from the UK’s farms and shores. Their cellars showcase handcrafted organic and natural wines, which  champion emerging British winemakers. Everything they bring to the table is honest, original and delicious.

Clean Kilo

Passionate about the environment and eliminating the use of plastic packaging, Jeanette and Tom founded Birmingham’s first plastic free supermarket in 2018. They currently operate two plastic-free grocers in Moseley and Bournville and a zero-waste bar, Kilo Ziro, in Digbeth.

Estimates are that by 2050 the amount of plastic in the ocean will outweigh the amount of fish and the team are determined to do something about it. The Clean Kilo stocks a large variety of food, drinks, cleaning products and toiletries – all entirely free of wasteful plastic.

Incredible Surplus

TRJFP Brum has been operating since 2014, intercepting over 6 tonnes of waste food and serving over 2,000 meals every month. The project aims to redistribute food that would otherwise go to waste from supermarkets, restaurants and other sources; turning it into healthy, nutritious meals on a ‘Pay-As-You-Feel’ basis.

We have regular events all over the city, Pay As You Feel boutiques, a Pay As You Feel Sharehouse and a Pay As You Feel Freegan Box scheme. Keep an eye on our calendar for dates and locations. #FeedBelliesNotBins

Named for the city’s sobriquet and located in a former badge factory, 1000 Trades is an independent neighbourhood bar and kitchen in the Jewellery Quarter as well as the Guardian’s ‘best place to drink‘ 2019.

Home to the best Sunday roast in the city (accompanied by live jazz), the community pub champions all forms of craft over three floors of their nineteenth century building. Inside you’ll find craft beer and natural wine, rotating menus of fantastic food from guest chefs and local artists’ work all to a soundtrack prepared in partnership with Birmingham’s music community.

1000 trades play host to numerous meet-ups, neighbourhood events, live music, comedy nights and of course, Slow Food Birmingham.
